Pepakura accepts a range of 3D file extensions, and can save files in its native extension (.pdo). While Pep is good for starting armorers, it rarely ends up high quality. And if it does, it can cost around $500USD to achieve the level of detail inherent in most molded armor. Pepakura can also be used as a base for molded armor- it provides a good base of the basic shapes to work from. Adding detail and smoothing yields great, re-cast-able results.
